Classic Cuban Midnight

Savory Classic Cuban Midnight Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 Cuban bread loaf

1/2 pound roasted pork

1/2 pound ham, thinly sliced

4 slices Swiss cheese

4 dill pickles, sliced

1/4 cup yellow mustard

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Directions:


Preheat a pan or griddle over medium heat.

Cut the Cuban bread loaf into 4 equal sections, then slice each section lengthwise.

Spread a generous amount of yellow mustard on one side of each slice.

Layer roasted pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and dill pickle slices on the bottom half of the bread.

Close the sandwiches with the top half of the bread.

Spread a little butter on the outside of each sandwich.

Place the sandwiches on the preheated pan or griddle and cook until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Remove from the pan, let them cool for a moment, and then slice each Classic Cuban Midnight into halves.
