1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1 large egg

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Add the egg and vanilla extract, blending until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and Rice Krispies cereal.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
