Pizza Crust

Ingredients:

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

1 1/2 cups warm water 110F/45C

1 tsp sugar

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

Instructions:


In a bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, until the mixture becomes foamy.

In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour.

Stir until the dough begins to form, then turn it out onto a floured surface and knead for about 7-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

Preheat oven to 475F 245C.

Punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired shape.

Add your favorite sauce and toppings, then bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
