Ingredients:
12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
1 cup chicken broth
cup heavy cream
8 oz penne pasta or pasta of choice
cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, then bring to a gentle simmer.
Add the pasta and stir to coat. Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
