1 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

2 tbsp strawberry puree or syrup

Red or pink food coloring optional

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 cups powdered sugar


3 tbsp strawberry puree or syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1-2 tbsp milk to adjust consistency

Pink or red food coloring optional

Directions for Cookies:

Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, almond extract if using, and strawberry puree. Mix in food coloring if desired.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients to form a dough.

Chill the Dough: Wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Shape and Bake: Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness, cut into heart shapes, and bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool.
