Stuffed Mozzarella Bacon Bombs
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
810 mozzarella cheese cubes about 1-inch each
810 slices of bacon
Fresh parsley, chopped optional, for garnish
Marinara sauce, for dipping optional
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400F 200C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Take a small handful of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a mozzarella cube in the center and wrap the meat around it to form a ball.
Wrap each meatball with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
Place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 2530 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the internal temperature of the meat reaches 160F 71C.
Let cool slightly, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve with marinara sauce.
