Savory French Dip Biscuits
Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough 8 biscuits
1/2 lb thinly sliced roast beef
4 slices provolone cheese, cut in half
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Au Jus Dipping Sauce:
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Biscuits: Flatten each biscuit slightly and place a slice of roast beef and half a slice of provolone in the center. Fold the edges over and pinch to seal, forming a stuffed biscuit.
Season and Bake: Arrange the biscuits seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, and black pepper.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the Au Jus Sauce: While the biscuits bake, heat beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a small saucepan. Simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Serve: Let biscuits cool slightly before serving with warm au jus for dipping. Enjoy!
