Santa Cup Cupcakes
These festive Santa-inspired cupcakes are perfect for the holiday season! Moist, flavorful cupcakes topped with whipped frosting and decorated to resemble Santas iconic red and white outfit will bring cheer to any celebration.
Ingredients
For the Cupcakes:
1 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder 療

1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs 讀
1 tsp vanilla extract
cup buttermilk 拏
Red gel food coloring
For the Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened 杻
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
23 tbsp heavy cream or milk 拏
For Decoration:
Mini marshmallows or shredded coconut for fur trim
Red sprinkles
Mini chocolate chips for buttons
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Cream Butter and Sugar:
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
4. Add Dry Ingredients and Buttermilk:
Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
5. Color the Batter:
Stir in a few drops of red gel food coloring until the batter reaches your desired Santa-red hue.
6. Bake:
Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners and bake for 1822 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cupcakes cool completely.
7. Make the Frosting:
In a large bowl, beat the butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and cream, beating until smooth and pipeable.
8. Decorate:
Frost the cooled cupcakes with a swirl of frosting.
Use red sprinkles to cover most of the frosting, leaving a strip of white for Santas fur trim.
Add mini marshmallows or shredded coconut for the trim.
Place mini chocolate chips down the center for buttons.
