Rich Banana Bread
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups ripe bananas, mashed about 4 large bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. This will take about 2-3 minutes.
Add Eggs and Bananas: Gradually add the beaten eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture in batches, alternating with the milk, until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Add Cinnamon Optional: For a subtle spice, stir in the ground cinnamon at this stage.
Bake the Bread: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 6070 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
