Red Velvet Martini

Ingredients:

2 ounces vanilla vodka

1 ounce Irish cream liqueur e.g., Baileys

1 ounce chocolate liqueur e.g., crème de cacao

1 ounce heavy cream or half-and-half

34 drops red food coloring adjust for desired hue

Ice cubes

For Garnish:

Red velvet cake crumbs or red sanding sugar for rimming the glass

Whipped cream optional

Mini chocolate shavings or a small piece of red velvet cake optional

Directions:

Prepare the Glass:


Moisten the rim of a martini glass with water or a bit of liqueur.

Dip the rim into red velvet cake crumbs or red sanding sugar to coat.

Set the prepared glass aside.

Mix the Cocktail:

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.

Add the vanilla vodka, Irish cream liqueur, chocolate liqueur, heavy cream or half-and-half, and red food coloring to the shaker.

Shake:

Secure the shakers lid and shake vigorously for about 1520 seconds until the mixture is well-chilled and combined.

Strain and Serve:

Strain the cocktail into the prepared martini glass.

Garnish:

Optionally, top with a dollop of whipped cream.
