Pork Chop Supreme
Ingredients:
4 bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375F 190C.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
Sear pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a baking dish.
In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth. Stir in sliced onions.
Pour the sauce mixture over the pork chops in the baking dish, making sure they are well covered.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
Uncover, sprinkle with cheddar cheese if using, and bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and pork is tender.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
