Pan-Seared Cod with Fries and Tartar Sauce
Ingredients:
For the cod:
2 cod fillets about 200g each
2 tbsp olive oil 㮝
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder 龍
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped
For the fries:
3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced into fries
2 tbsp olive oil 㮝
Salt and pepper
For the tartar sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp pickle relish 勒
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp chopped parsley
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Fries:
Preheat your oven to 200C 400F. Toss sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
2. Season and Cook the Cod:
Pat the cod fillets dry. Mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then rub the seasoning on both sides of the fillets.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the cod for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden and flaky.
3. Make the Tartar Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, pickle relish, lemon juice, and parsley.
4. Assemble and Serve:
Plate the cod fillets with the crispy fries. Garnish the fish with fresh parsley and serve with tartar sauce on the side.
