One-Pan Spicy Cajun Ranch Steak & Rice
Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cups long-grain white rice
3 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 packet 1 oz ranch seasoning mix
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
teaspoon smoked paprika
teaspoon garlic powder
teaspoon onion powder
teaspoon salt adjust to taste
teaspoon black pepper
1 bell pepper, diced
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
cup cherry tomatoes, halved
2 green onions, chopped for garnish
teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional, for extra heat
Directions:
Sear the Steak:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the steak pieces with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until browned but not fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
Sauté the Veggies:
Add the remaining olive oil and butter to the same skillet.
Stir in the diced bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Cook the Rice:
Add the rice to the skillet and stir to coat with the seasonings and oil.
Pour in the beef broth and sprinkle the ranch seasoning over the top. Stir well.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Finish with Steak & Tomatoes:
Uncover the skillet, add the cherry tomatoes and seared steak back into the pan.
Stir everything together and cover for another 5 minutes, allowing the steak to finish cooking and absorb flavors.
Garnish & Serve:
Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
Serve hot and enjoy the bold, spicy flavors!
