Old-Fashioned Beef Stroganoff Ingredients: 1 lb

Old-Fashioned Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients:

1 lb beef tenderloin, cut into strips

1 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 cup sour cream

1 tbsp flour

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Directions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef strips in batches, then set aside.

In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add beef broth, whisking to prevent lumps. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

Reduce heat to low, and return beef to the pan. Stir in sour cream and cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve over egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
