Mint Cheesecake and Oreo Trifles
Ingredients:
Crust:
– 15 Oreo cookies, crushed
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 杻
Mint Cheesecake Filling:
– 8 oz cream cheese, softened 燎
– cup powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
– Green food coloring optional
– 1 cups heavy whipping cream 拏
Toppings:
– 8 Oreo cookies, crushed for layering and garnish
– Whipped cream for garnish
– Fresh mint leaves optional
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Oreo Crust:
In a small bowl, mix the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of serving glasses or jars to form the crust. Set aside.
2. Make the Mint Cheesecake Filling:
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the peppermint extract and a few drops of green food coloring if using to achieve a minty hue.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
3. Assemble the Trifles:
Layer the prepared glasses with alternating layers of the mint cheesecake filling and crushed Oreos. Repeat layers as desired, ending with a final layer of cheesecake filling.
4. Garnish:
Top each trifle with a dollop of whipped cream, additional crushed Oreos, and fresh mint leaves for a beautiful finish.
5. Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the trifles for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled and enjoy these refreshing and indulgent trifles!
