Ingredients:

cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

teaspoon salt

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Powdered sugar optional, for dusting

Directions:

Prepare the Dough:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.


In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth.

Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until fully combined.

Sift in the cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.

Gradually fold in the flour until a thick batter forms. Stir in the chocolate chips.

Shape the Cookies:

Use a tablespoon or cookie scoop to drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake the Cookies:

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underbaked.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
