Ingredients:

– 1 cup breadcrumbs

– 1/2 cup shredded cheese your favorite variety

– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

– 1 tsp garlic powder

– 1 tsp onion powder

– 1 egg

– 1 lb ground beef or a plant-based option

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 1 cup heavy cream or a dairy-free alternative

– 1 cup vegetable broth

– 1 tbsp olive oil

– Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400F 200C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef or plant-based substitute, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

3. Form the mixture into equal-sized meatballs, about the size of a golf ball, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.

5. While the meatballs are baking, heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring it to a simmer.

6. Slowly add the heavy cream or dairy-free alternative to the saucepan, stirring constantly until the sauce starts to thicken. Then, stir in the shredded cheese and grated Parmesan until melted and smooth.

7. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and add them directly into the cheese sauce, coating each meatball generously.

8. Serve the meatballs hot, drizzled with extra creamy sauce and topped with chopped fresh parsley for a burst of flavor.
