Maple Bacon Waffle Burger

Ingredients:

For the Waffles:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

1 tbsp sugar

tsp salt

2 large eggs

1 cups milk

cup unsalted butter, melted

cup maple syrup

tsp vanilla extract

For the Burger Patties:

1 lb ground beef 80/20

1 tsp salt

tsp black pepper

tsp garlic powder

tsp smoked paprika

Toppings:

6 slices crispy bacon

4 slices cheddar cheese

cup maple syrup for drizzling

4 tbsp butter for waffle toasting


Directions:

Prepare the Waffle Batter:

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla.

Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.

Cook the Waffles:

Heat a waffle iron and lightly grease it.

Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown.

Set aside and keep warm.

Prepare the Burgers:

Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.

In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Form into 4 patties and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until desired doneness.

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking.

Assemble the Waffle Burgers:

Butter the waffles and toast them lightly in a skillet.

Place a burger patty on a waffle, top with crispy bacon, and drizzle with maple syrup.

Add another waffle on top to complete the sandwich.
