Jamaican Purple Rain Cocktail A Tropical Symphony of Flavors
Ingredients:
1 oz coconut rum e.g., Malibu
oz blue curaçao
1 oz cranberry juice
1 oz pineapple juice
oz fresh lime juice
oz grenadine
Ice cubes
Pineapple wedge or lime slice for garnish
Maraschino cherry optional, for garnish
Directions:
Mix the Base:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
Add coconut rum, blue curaçao, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and fresh lime juice.
Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients.
Prepare the Glass:
Fill a tall glass or hurricane glass with fresh ice cubes.
Strain the shaken mixture into the glass over the ice.
Create the Purple Rain Effect:
Slowly pour the grenadine over the top. It will sink to the bottom and gradually mix with the blue curaçao, creating a beautiful purple gradient.
