Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket
Ingredients:
8 jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise seeds and membranes removed
4 ounces softened cream cheese
1 1/4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
16 cocktail wieners such as Hillshire Farms Lil Smokies
2 8-ounce packages crescent roll dough 8 count each
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Rinse the jalapeños to remove any remaining seeds, then pat them dry.
Prepare the Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded Cheddar cheese. Stir until well blended.
Stuff the Jalapeños: Divide the cheese mixture among the jalapeño halves, spreading it evenly. Top each stuffed jalapeño with a cocktail wiener.
Wrap with Crescent Dough: Separate the crescent roll dough into 16 triangles. Carefully roll each filled jalapeño in a piece of crescent dough and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
Serve: Allow the Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
