Irresistible Banana Walnut Dream Cake

Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoons baking soda

teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1 cups granulated sugar

cup brown sugar, packed

3 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sour cream

4 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cup walnuts, chopped

For Garnish:

1 cups cream cheese frosting

cup banana slices

cup walnuts, chopped

Directions:

Prepare the Pans:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans to prevent sticking.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars:

In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, beating until light and fluffy about 34 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla:

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the sour cream. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing just until combined.

Incorporate Bananas and Walnuts:

Gently fold in the mashed bananas and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.

Bake the Layers:

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula.

Bake for 2530 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cakes:

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Turn them out onto wire racks and let them cool completely before frosting.

Frost the Cake:

Spread cream cheese frosting between the layers, then over the top and sides of the cake.

Garnish and Serve:

Garnish with banana slices and additional chopped walnuts for an elegant finish. Slice and enjoy!
