Hot Fudge Chocolate Pudding Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder for topping


1 1/4 cups hot water

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.

In a bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined. Spread batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa powder. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.

Slowly pour hot water over the entire dishdo not stir.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cake is set but still has a gooey pudding layer underneath.

Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
