Honey Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Ingredients:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined tails on
12 slices of bacon, cut in half
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
Toothpicks for securing bacon
Fresh parsley or chives, chopped for garnish
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400F 200C and line a baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack on top if you have one.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, paprika, cayenne if using, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Wrap each shrimp with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Brush each bacon-wrapped shrimp with the honey mixture.
Arrange shrimp on the wire rack or foil-lined tray and bake for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway, until bacon is crisp and shrimp is opaque.
Optional: Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
Drizzle with a bit more warm honey if desired and sprinkle with chopped herbs before serving.
