Gooey Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, cream cheese, butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until the dough is smooth.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and then roll each ball in powdered sugar.
Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden.
Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
These gooey butter cookies are soft, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious!
