Festive Grinch Cookies for the Holidays
Ingredients:
– Green food coloring
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– Red candy hearts or M&Ms for decoration
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Mix in the vanilla extract and a few drops of green food coloring to achieve your desired Grinch green hue.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture until combined.
5. Scoop tablespoons of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
6. Gently press a red candy heart or M&M onto the center of each dough ball for that Grinch-inspired touch.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
8. Enjoy these delightful cookies with your family and friends during the holiday season!
