Easter Dirt Cake Casserole
This delightful dessert brings fun and flavor to your Easter celebrations! With creamy layers and a touch of whimsy, its sure to impress guests of all ages!
Ingredients:
– 1 tub 12 oz whipped topping, thawed
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1 package 3.9 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
– 2 cups milk
– 1 package 14.3 oz Oreo cookies, crushed
– 1/2 cup butter, melted
– 1 package 8 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1 package 6 oz gummy worms
– Edible grass for decoration optional
Instructions:
1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350F 175C.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter until well blended. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form a crunchy crust.
3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until its smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well until thoroughly combined.
4. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy. Spread this delicious cream cheese mixture over the Oreo crust in an even layer.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency. Pour the thickened pudding over the cream cheese layer, smoothing it out.
6. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours, or until the layers are set and firm.
7. Once set, top your dessert with gummy worms and, if desired, sprinkle some edible grass on top for that extra festive touch. Cut into squares and serve as a delightful treat!
