Creamy Garlic Parmesan Stuffed Mushrooms
Ingredients:
12 large white or cremini mushrooms, stems removed
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
1/2 cup heavy cream for sauce, optional
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan for sauce, optional
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C. Lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Prepare the Filling:
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, grated Parmesan, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Stuff the Mushrooms:
Spoon the cheese mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing it in slightly to ensure its well-filled.
Bake the Mushrooms:
Place the stuffed mushrooms in the prepared baking dish, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the cheese filling is bubbly and golden on top.
Make the Creamy Parmesan Sauce Optional:
While the mushrooms are baking, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
Stir in the 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper if desired.
Serve:
Drizzle the creamy Parmesan sauce on the serving plate if using and place the baked stuffed mushrooms on top.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and a sprinkle of additional Parmesan cheese. Serve warm and enjoy!
