Cool Whip Cookies
These Cool Whip Cookies are incredibly soft, sweet, and bursting with fun thanks to colorful M&Ms. With just a handful of ingredients, theyre easy to make and perfect for parties, holidays, or an anytime treat!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 box 16.25 ounces white cake mix or any flavor you prefer
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups Cool Whip
1 cup M&Ms, divided
Directions:
Prepare for Baking:
Preheat your oven to 325F 165C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the powdered sugar in a shallow bowl and set it aside for rolling the cookies later.
Mix the Dough:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, egg, and Cool Whip.
Use a stand mixer or hand mixer on medium speed to mix for 3-5 minutes, or until the batter thickens.
If the dough is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water and mix until smooth and scoopable.
Add the M&Ms:
Fold in 3/4 cup of M&Ms gently with a spatula.
Form the Cookies:
Use a cookie scoop to portion out the dough, rolling each piece into a ball.
Roll each cookie ball in the powdered sugar to coat it fully, then place it on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each.
Decorate with M&Ms:
Press a few of the remaining M&Ms onto the tops of the cookie balls for decoration.
Bake the Cookies:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are cracked.
If youre baking two sheets at once, rotate them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Cool and Serve:
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
