Colorful Candy Apples with Cotton Candy
Ingredients:
4 medium apples, washed and dried
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup water
1/4 cup light corn syrup
Food coloring in various colors
1 bag of cotton candy assorted colors
Lollipop sticks
Directions:
1 Prep the Apples:
Insert lollipop sticks firmly into the top of each apple and set them aside.
2 Make the Candy Coating:
In a saucepan, mix together the sugar, water, and corn syrup. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches a rolling boil.
3 Add the Color:
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add a few drops of your favorite food coloring. Stir until fully combined.
4 Dip the Apples:
Let the candy syrup cool slightly before dipping each apple into the mixture. Make sure the apples are evenly coated.
5 Cool the Apples:
Place the coated apples on parchment paper to cool and harden.
6 Top with Cotton Candy:
Once fully cooled, carefully wrap cotton candy around the top of each apple for a playful, whimsical touch.
