Directions

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg, followed by vanilla and almond extracts.
Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms. Avoid overmixing.
Chill the Dough: Divide dough in half, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour to make it easier to handle.
Shape the Cookies: Roll out the dough on a floured surface to -inch thickness. Use holiday-themed cookie cutters to create shapes. Place cookies 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheets.
Bake: Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but not browned. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
