Ingredients:
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 cup whipped topping Cool Whip or homemade
– cup unsalted butter, melted
– 2 cups whipped topping for the topping
– 2 3.9 oz boxes instant chocolate pudding
– 3 cups cold milk
– cup chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
– 1 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
– cup chopped pecans optional
– 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. This is the perfect time to get that delicious crust ready!
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans if youre using them. Mix until it forms a soft dough.
3. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake in your preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until its lightly golden brown. Once done, allow it to cool completely.
4. While the crust cools, make the cream cheese layer. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
5. Gently fold in 1 cup of whipped topping. Once combined, spread this creamy mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
6. Now, for the chocolate pudding layer! In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until the mixture thickens, which should take about 2 minutes.
7. Spread the chocolate pudding layer evenly over the cream cheese layer.
8. To finish, spread the remaining 2 cups of whipped topping over the chocolate pudding layer, creating a beautiful layer of fluffiness.
