Cherry Cheesecake Brownies
These Cherry Cheesecake Brownies combine the best of both worldsrich, fudgy brownies and creamy cheesecake, topped with sweet cherry pie filling. A delicious, decadent dessert that will impress every crowd!
Ingredients:
For the Brownies:
cup salted butter, melted 杻
cup cocoa powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs 讀
1 teaspoon salt 蓼
1 cup all-purpose flour
For the Cheesecake Filling:
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature 燎
cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
cup granulated white sugar
1 large egg 讀
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 21 oz can cherry pie filling use can if you prefer a shorter bake time
Optional: whipped cream and maraschino cherries for garnish
Instructions:
1 Prepare the Brownies:
In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and cocoa powder. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to “”bloom,”” enhancing the chocolate flavor.
After 5 minutes, add the brown sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well with a whisk.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly between each addition. Then, add the salt and flour, stirring until fully combined.
Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper. Spread about of the brownie batter into the pan, reserving the rest for later.
2 Make the Cheesecake Filling:
In a separate mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sour cream or Greek yogurt together on medium speed until creamy, about 1-2 minutes.
Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth, approximately 2 more minutes.
3 Assemble the Brownies:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C.
Pour the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
Drop spoonfuls of cherry pie filling across the cheesecake layer, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Spoon the reserved brownie batter into the gaps between the cherry filling.
Use a toothpick to lightly swirl the brownie batter and cherry filling together to create a marbled effect. Be careful not to overmix.
4 Bake:
Bake for 40-45 minutes until the edges are set and the middle is slightly jiggly.
Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 2-3 hours before slicing. You can refrigerate them after theyve cooled slightly to help firm up for cleaner slices.
5 Optional Garnish:
Top the brownies with whipped cream and maraschino cherries for an extra sweet touch!
