Carnivore Bacon Cheeseburger Pie
Ingredients:
For the Meat Crust:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 egg
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp olive oil for greasing the pan
For the Filling:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp mustard optional for extra flavor
For Topping:
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4-6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with olive oil.
In a bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, egg, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well and press the mixture evenly into the prepared pie dish to form the crust.
Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and browned. Remove from the oven and set aside.
While the crust is baking, cook the ground beef for the filling in a skillet over medium heat. Once browned, drain any excess fat and stir in the chopped bacon.
Add the heavy cream, paprika, salt, pepper, and mustard if using to the meat mixture and stir to combine. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from the heat.
Spoon the meat filling into the baked meat crust, spreading it evenly.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese and return the pie to the oven. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, top with crumbled bacon, and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
