BUBBLE LAYERED SHOT
Colorful, fruity, and fun for any celebration!
INGREDIENTS:
0.5 oz Blue Curaçao Syrup
0.5 oz Piña Colada Drink plus additional for layering
0.5 oz Coconut Rum
0.5 oz Strawberry Liqueur
0.5 oz Overproof Rum
0.5 pint White Rum for bubble gum infusion
Bubble Gum about 10 pieces for infusion
Pink Sugar for rimming the glass
GEAR:
Shot glass
Basic bar tools shakers, strainer
PREPARATION STEPS:
Prepare the Glass:
Rim the edge of a shot glass with pink sugar and set aside.
Create the Blue Layer:
In a shaker filled with ice, combine 0.5 oz blue curaçao syrup and 0.5 oz piña colada drink.
Shake well and strain into the shot glass, filling it one-third of the way.
Create the White Layer:
In a separate shaker filled with ice, combine 0.5 oz coconut rum and 0.5 oz piña colada drink.
Shake well and carefully layer this mixture over the blue layer in the shot glass.
Infuse the Rum:
Fill an empty bottle with 10 pieces of bubble gum and 0.5 pint white rum. Allow it to infuse for a few hours until the rum takes on a bubble gum flavor.
Create the Pink Layer:
In a shaker filled with ice, combine the bubble gum-infused rum, 0.5 oz strawberry liqueur, 0.5 oz piña colada drink, and 0.5 oz overproof rum.
Shake well and layer this mixture on top of the white layer in the shot glass.
