Brown Sugar Glazed Potatoes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs baby potatoes, halved
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Potatoes:
Wash and halve the baby potatoes. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Sauté the Potatoes:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the halved potatoes cut-side down and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown.
Make the Glaze:
Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in the brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Mix until the sugar dissolves and coats the potatoes evenly.
Cook Until Tender:
Lower the heat to medium-low and cover the skillet. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and the glaze thickens.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh thyme or parsley. Serve warm as a delicious side dish!
