Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour

cup granulated sugar

1 packet 2 tsp active dry yeast

teaspoon salt

cup warm milk 110F

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 ripe banana, mashed

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling:

cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Glaze:

cup powdered sugar


2 tablespoons milk

teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, mashed banana, egg, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Roll out the dough into a 12×9-inch rectangle on a floured surface.

Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll tightly from the long edge and cut into 9 even rolls.

Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350F 175C and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.
