Bacon Jam Grilled Cheeseburgers
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 brioche buns, toasted
1 cup bacon jam store-bought or homemade
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions
Directions:
Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and form into patties. Season both sides with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of butter to the pan. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side or until they reach your desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
Spread bacon jam generously on both sides of the toasted brioche buns.
Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the bottom bun, followed by any optional toppings lettuce, tomato, or caramelized onions. Add the top bun and serve immediately.
