Air Fried Apple Wedges with Caramel

Air Fried Apple Wedges with Caramel Whipped Cream Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:

2 medium Gala apples

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 tablespoons sugar for coating

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon for coating

4 oz whipped cream

1/4 cup caramel sauce

Directions:

Prepare the Apples:

Peel the Gala apples, remove the cores, and slice them into wedges about 1/4-inch thick.

Coat the Apples:

In a mixing bowl, drizzle melted butter over the apple wedges. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon and toss gently to coat evenly.

Preheat Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 400F 200C for a few minutes.

Air Fry the Apples:

Place the coated apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 5-7 minutes, checking for tenderness and crispy edges.

Add Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:

While the apples are cooking, combine the sugar and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon in a small bowl.

Once the apple wedges are finished, remove them from the air fryer and quickly toss in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until well coated.

Make the Caramel Whipped Cream:

In a separate bowl, gently fold the caramel sauce into the whipped cream. Do this slowly to maintain the whipped creams light texture.

Chill the caramel whipped cream for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Serve:

Arrange the warm apple wedges on a serving plate and serve with the caramel whipped cream dipping sauce for a delicious and cozy treat!
