Would you eat this Amish Sunday Savior Casserole ?
Ingredients:
12 oz wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup frozen peas optional
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic, and sauté for 5-7 minutes or until the vegetables are soft. Drain any excess grease.
Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
Fold in the cooked egg noodles and frozen peas if using, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
