Chicken Fillet in Spicy Garlic Parmesan Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken fillets
1 teaspoon salt
teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
For the Spicy Garlic Parmesan Sauce:
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
1 cup heavy cream
cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
teaspoon onion powder
teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
Season the chicken: Pat the chicken fillets dry and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Build the sauce: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Combine & serve: Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Let simmer for 2 more minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
