Would you eat this Delicious Brown Sugar Chops ?
Ingredients:
4 boneless pork chops 1-inch thick
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp unsalted butter
cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
tsp salt
tsp black pepper
tsp paprika
tsp dried thyme
cup chicken broth
tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat
Directions:
Prepare the Pork Chops:
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
Sear the Pork Chops:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Make the Brown Sugar Glaze:
Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir until combined.
Simmer and Coat:
Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the brown sugar glaze over them. Let them cook for another 5-7 minutes, flipping once, until the sauce thickens and the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145F 63C.
Serve:
Plate the pork chops and drizzle with extra sauce. Serve hot with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or rice.
