Would you eat this Smoky BBQ Ribs ?
Ingredients:
2 racks of pork ribs about 4-5 pounds total
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons smoked paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for a kick
2 cups BBQ sauce your favorite brand or homemade
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
Preheat and Prep:
Preheat oven to 300F 150C.
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs for maximum tenderness.
Make the Dry Rub:
In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, black pepper, salt, and cayenne if using.
Season the Ribs:
Rub olive oil over the ribs, then coat them generously with the spice mix on both sides.
Bake Low and Slow:
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender and nearly falling off the bone.
Glaze and Grill:
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
Unwrap the ribs and brush them with a mixture of BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar.
Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with more sauce and allowing the glaze to caramelize beautifully.
Rest and Serve:
Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
