Crockpot Chicken Recipe

Ingredients:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

1 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons butter, cubed


1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening

1/4 cup heavy cream optional, for a creamy sauce

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Directions:

Lightly grease the crockpot with olive oil. Place the chicken breasts inside.

In a small bowl, mix chicken broth, garlic, onion powder, oregano, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pour over the chicken.

Scatter butter cubes over the top. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreddable.

Optional For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water and stir into the crockpot during the last 30 minutes.

Optional For a creamy version, stir in heavy cream just before serving.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
