One-Pot Smoky Cheddar Ranch Chicken & Sausage Pasta

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed

6 oz smoked sausage, sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 packet 1 oz ranch seasoning mix

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

8 oz penne pasta

1 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

teaspoon black pepper

teaspoon salt adjust to taste

teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat

2 green onions, sliced for garnish

Directions:

Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat. Add the cubed chicken and smoked sausage. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the chicken is lightly browned.

Add garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried parsley, and ranch seasoning. Stir well to coat the chicken and sausage in the spices.

Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir in uncooked penne pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer, covered, for 12-15 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Once the pasta is tender, reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes if using.

Remove from heat and let the dish sit for 5 minutes to thicken. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve warm.
