White Bean and Chicken Soup
A hearty, flavorful soup made with tender white beans and chickenthis recipe is the perfect comfort food for any chilly day.
Ingredients:
1 medium package dried Northern beans 16 oz
3 to 4 meaty chicken thighs or chicken drumsticks
1 small onion, diced 暈
Enough water to cover the beans
Salt & pepper, to taste 蓼
1/3 cup light brown sugar
Instructions:
1 Sort & Clean the Beans: Start by sorting through the beans to remove any pebbles, then rinse them under cold water.
2 Prepare the Crockpot: In the crockpot, combine the rinsed beans with diced onion, salt, pepper, and the chicken thighs or drumsticks.
3 Add Water: Pour enough water over the beans to cover them completely.
4 Cook: Set the crockpot on low and cook for 6-8 hours, or until the beans are tender and the flavors are well blended.
5 Add Sugar: About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the brown sugar and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper to taste.
6 Serve: Once ready, serve hot and enjoy the delicious, savory flavor of this comforting soup!
