Surf and Turf with Saffron Rice Recipe 數
Ingredients:
For the Saffron Rice:
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups chicken stock or water
1/4 tsp saffron threads soaked in 2 tbsp warm water
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp turmeric
Salt, to taste
For the Surf Shrimp:
1/2 lb 250g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Turf Steak:
1/2 lb 250g steak sirloin or ribeye, cut into strips
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions:
1 Prepare the Saffron Rice:
1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add the rice and turmeric, stirring for 1 minute until coated.
3. Pour in chicken stock, saffron water, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
2 Cook the Shrimp:
1. Toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
3 Cook the Steak:
1. Toss steak strips with olive oil, soy sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder.
2. In the same skillet, sear steak strips over high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
4 Assemble the Dish:
1. Plate the saffron rice as the base.
2. Arrange shrimp and steak strips on top of the rice.
3. Garnish with fresh parsley for a touch of freshness.
5 Serve and Enjoy:
