Creamy Garlic Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients:

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

3 cups 250g mushrooms sliced or quartered

3 cloves garlic minced

1/2 cup 125 ml chicken or vegetable broth

1 cup 250 ml heavy cream

1/4 cup 30g grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

1 Sauté Mushrooms:

Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Add mushrooms and cook until golden and tender about 5-7 minutes. Remove mushrooms and set aside.

2 Prepare Garlic Base:


In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

3 Make the Sauce:

Pour in the broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes, reducing slightly.

Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, thyme or Italian seasoning, and stir. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

4 Combine:

Return the cooked mushrooms to the skillet and stir to coat them in the creamy sauce. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

5 Season and Serve:

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
