Cheesy Taco Dip Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chilies like Rotel, drained
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or a Mexican blend
1/2 cup diced onions optional
1/2 cup diced bell peppers optional
1/2 cup sliced black olives optional
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro for garnish
Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease.
Season: Add the taco seasoning and mix well. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add Creamy Ingredients: Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
Melt the Cheese: Add 1 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and mix until melted and gooey.
Transfer & Bake Optional: If you prefer a baked version, transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish, sprinkle the remaining cup cheese on top, and bake at 375F 190C for 10 minutes or until bubbly.
