_Ingredients_
– 1 16 ounce container of cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup of sour cream
– 1 can 16 ounce of refried beans
– 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese divided
– 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese divided
– 1 can 4 ounce of diced green chilies
– 1/2 cup of diced cooked chicken optional
– 1/2 cup of diced onion
– 1/2 cup of diced bell pepper
– 1 packet of taco seasoning
– 1 bag of tortilla chips, crushed
– Salsa, sour cream, and diced tomatoes for toppings optional
_Instructions_
1. Preheat oven to 350F 175C.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
3. Add the refried beans, diced green chilies, taco seasoning, and 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
4. If using cooked chicken, onion, and bell pepper, stir them in at this point.
