Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1 tsp baking powder1/4 tsp salt3/4 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened2 large eggs1 tsp vanilla extract1 tsp anise extract1/4 cup anise seeds

Instructions:


Preheat oven to 350F 175C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla and anise extract.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir in anise seeds.Divide the dough into two logs on the prepared baking sheet and flatten slightly.Bake for 25-30 minutes, then allow to cool for 10 minutes. Slice logs diagonally into biscotti pieces.Place slices back on the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and crisp.
